Hello, I’m Ali!
Before advertising, I earned a reputation in fashion delivering one-liners. Associating jokes with fashion is one of my favorite pastimes.
Marky Mark gave me my first piece of career advice on the wicked streets of Boston. He didn’t not tell me to become a rapper.
The highlight of my fashion career was writing a letter to Obama and having Bono hand deliver it to the White House for me…politics as usual.
I went to ad school in Madrid and left with the full knowledge of adobe suite in Spanish. The only word you need to know is escribir.
I threw a gothic glitter holiday drag party at a Baptist church in Harlem for Mother (not my mom). Turns out Jesus is a great host.
While at Mother, I was lucky to be a part of teams that politely redistributed Target and Wrangler’s business from other agencies, to ours.
As a human, I want to keep experiencing culture in all its forms. Brazilian music. Sustainable design. Foreign Languages. Suspect street meat.
And as a writer, I want to keep stretching the voice of brands; collaborating with them to take more creative risks and bring out their original, undeniable truth. Potential rapper or not.
I am currently living in LA, freelancing for Apple and writing children’s books on the side.
